- 1-2 Onion *thinly sliced
- 1 small piece Ginger *finely chopped OR grated
- 1/2 cup Dashi Stock
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 4-5 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoons Mirin
- 4 Egg
- Shredded Nori or Spring Onion for topping
Instructions to make to make 'Tanin' Don
- Heat Oil in a frying pan and cook Mince, Onion with Ginger. When Meat changes colour, add Dashi Stock, Sugar, Mirin and Soy Sauce and cook until the sauce is slightly thickened.
- Beat the Eggs and pour them over and cook until the Egg has set. DO NOT stir.
- Half fill a bowl with freshly cooked rice and cover it with the meat and egg mixture. Sprinkle some shredded Nori or chopped Spring Onion on top and enjoy.
